About the Fermanagh Crafts Consortium

Fermanagh is often described as one of the most relaxing places in Ireland with its easy going pace of life. Little wonder then that it’s also considered as one of the most creative parts of the country, with a rich artistic and craft culture underlying so much of the spectacular landscape.

From an initial membership of nine micro craft businesses in the late 1990’s, Fermanagh Crafts Consortium has evolved into a support organisation committed to ensuring the future growth, sustainability and development of the craft sector, whilst promoting and raising the profile of small craft, applied art and design businesses and their products.

Membership of the Consortium is open to all craft makers, designers and artists who recognise the benefits of combined group efforts, sharing expertise and experience, networking and information sharing.

Some of our members have been engaged in their craft disciplines for over 20 years, whilst other others are relatively newly established and the fusion of traditional and cotemporary crafts creates a diverse and energetic platform from which to drive forward and sustain the local and regional craft sector through group initiatives.

Base at the historic Buttermarket Craft Centre in Enniskillen, Fermanagh Crafts Consortium extends a warm welcome to you to discover the wealth of creativity amidst the natural beauty and tranquillity of the natural landscape which inspires it.
