2003 PROGRAMME LANDSCAPE IN ACRYLIC & OILS BOB KILLEN Sat 10 May Bob is a well-known Belfast artist who exhibits widely. He is also an inspirational teacher. This one day workshop is limited to ten students. LANDSCAPE AND SMALL SCALE STUDIES AROUND ARDESS WATERCOLOUR GRAHAME BOOTH Sat 31 May-Sun 1 June Grahame will help you to get atmosphere into your watercolours. He showed this when he represented Northern Ireland in the Finals of Watercolour Challenge. Teaching will be by demonstration both indoors and out. MONET YOUR INSPIRATION MARGARET SCOTT Sat 14 June-Sun 15 June Be inspired, through photographs and studies of Monet's work to put your own interpretation on his wonderful garden. Paint in your chosen medium. PORTRAITURE PATIENCE HOLT Sat 5 July-Sun 6 July Patience will take you, step by step, through the detail of building up the facets of a portrait, whether you are a beginner or an improver. You will be working in a medium of your choice. Patience studied with Sonia Mervyn in London. 3D PAINTING TRISHA RIGDEN Tues 22 July-Wed 23 July Add the third dimension to your art. Trisha will supply the board, plaster and paint for this workshop. You could complete a piece in a day but you would get a better result in two days. ONE DAY WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP CHRIS DEARDEN Sat 26 July Chris is well known for his painting demonstrations. He is coming to Ardess for the one day; it will be one to remember. Chris will sketch with you in the morning and after lunch you will watch the painting emerge. He is renowned for his painting techniques which he is generous enough to share with his students. These techniques will add a new dimension to your painting. PAINTING WITH BRIAN COULTER Sat 2 August-Sun 3 August Fermanagh weather permitting you will work outdoors with Brian. He offers tuition in any medium including line and wash. Brian, a professional artist and designer left Glasgow to live in the depths of County Donegal. His love of the countryside is evident in his painting. PAINTING WORKSHOP TRISHA RIGDEN Wed 13 August-Thurs 14 August Trisha will help you to choose your subject and how to develop it, with special reference to composition. She suggests you work in oils or acrylics. ONE DAY WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP CHRIS DEARDEN Sat 30 August This August workshop will be organized along the same lines as the one in July but no two days are the same with Chris.
