CONTEMPORARY TEXTILE DESIGN

The aim is to make a colourful wall hanging. First of all you will have
fun making felt. This hand made felt will be enhanced with stitching either
by hand or machine. There will be a small charge for materials.
LACE MAKING

Unagh's encouragement and enthusiasm ensures her students will produce
the most exquisite work. Warning! Once you acquire the skill it becomes
addictive. Bobbin lace is the most popular but Unagh can also introduce
you to Irish Crochet, Tatting, Limerick Lace, Carrickmacrss Lace and Beadwork.
FUN WITH GLASS

Tiffany glass techniques will be used and a Karen will be turning the
workshop into an Aladdin's cave once more when she brings the materials
for her textile workshop. Create exquisite little embroidered evening
or bridal bags, decorated with hand and machine stitching, applique´
and quilting, using sumptuous fabrics, ribbons and beads.beginner can
make a decorative panel in the weekend. Advanced students will have the
opportunity to make a terrarium or gazebo.
SPINNING & NATURAL DYEING

Ashford wheels are used for spinning Jacob fleece. Spinning is a knack,
which you can learn in a day.

This Irish white embroidery was popular in Edwardian times, it has recently
been revived. In a day you work a sampler. On day two you can design a
piece of work Flowers, leaves and other materials will be collected for
dyeing the fleece and spun yarn to produce a range of colours.
